Jimi Hendrix, el mejor guitarrista de la historia, según Rolling Stone

Jimi Hendrix, el legendario rockero de Seattle, ha sido elegido por un grupo de expertos reunidos por la revista Rolling Stone, el mejor guitarrista de la historia, según recoge esta publicación en su edición en inglés en internet.

A Hendrix le siguen en el listado Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck y B.B. King . Hendrix "ha hecho trizas la idea que teníamos de lo que puede ser la música de rock", asegura en la revista el también guitarrista Tom Morello.

Entre las obras más emblemáticas de Hendrix se encuentran "Purple Haze" y su particular versión del himno de Estados Unidos "Star and Spangled Banner"
