Amanda Bynes Insists She's 'Doing Amazing,' Plans to Move to NYC
Amanda Bynes is now facing more scrutiny than she ever has before, thanks to DUI and hit-and-run charges and a number of photos that appear to show her hitting a pipe in a Home Depot parking lot.
But the former Nickelodeon star, who hasn't had a major role in anything since 2010's Easy A, insists she's doing "amazing."I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line,Bynes told People
on Wednesday. "I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
Given her history of vehicular mishaps, it wouldn't be a terrible idea for Bynes to settle down in New York City, where it's much easier (and cheaper) to catch a cab than in Los Angeles. And her plot to launch a fashion line isn't entirely far-fetched:
She did have a line of her own for the budget brand Steve and Barry's, which shuttered a few years back.
Despite Amanda's assurances that she's completely fine, friends and family remain worried about her. Earlier this week, news broke that Bynes' parents had relocated from Texas to California to be closer to their daughter.
