Quizás no hay nadie mejor que Tony La Russa en cuanto a sus movidas de ajedrecista.   

La decisión de La Russa de mandar a Allen Craig ante el relevista Alexi Ogando resultó la decisiva del primer juego de la Serie Mundial.

 

El bateador emergente remolcó con un sencillo la carrera que le dio  ayer a los Cardenales de San Luis una victoria 3-2 sobre los Rangers de Texas.

Con dos outs en el sexto inning, Craig conectó hacia la banda contraria una línea tendida que picó frente al jardinero derecho Nelson Cruz.

Lance Berkman había adelantado a los Cardenales con un sencillo de dos carreras en el cuarto ante C.J. Wilson. Pero Mike Napoli empató en el quinto con un jonrón de dos anotaciones frente a Chris Carpenter.
